Greece, one of the smallest, and most vulnerable countries reaping the product of 6 decades of socialized democracy is falling apart economically. Why do Democrats want to start America down the road that historically has the same results as Greece ….other than for power ?

We don’t. I prefer the roads being traveled by Norway and Sweden. Their extensive social programs have been helpful.

What!!! lol look at the Scandinavian countries such as Norway, they follow socialized democracy far more closely than Greece. Norway has the highest HDI in the world (which takes into account life expectancy, Education and standards of living). Also due to them not letting their banks getting out of control they felt the effects of the recession less. If this is a road you dont want your country to follow then fine, but the people of Norway will be laughing at your idiocy.
The problem of Greece was not socialized democracy. That’s untrue. The problem was money waste because of illegal “relations” of the governments with companies like SIEMENS, DAIMLER etc. They bribed the governments to get the state “jobs”.
There is no greek who wants a “less” socialized democracy. On the contrary, we consider those reforms (like the foundation of the National Health System) as the only successes of the past governments.
